It serves as a constant reminder to product management teams on what's the outcome they should be after, and what exactly is the role of the Product Management team.

Would recommend this to anyone finding themselves revolving around a circle where projects are pre-planned by stakeholders and handed down to you as a Product Manager to see to completion.

Product Managers are NOT project managers. Product Managers are in a business role where they help guide and align product teams to reach the right outcomes. If this work is not done right, a lot of the day-to-day work our teams are working on would just be busy-work. Whether we'd actually see results will kind of be like spinning a roulette.

The book reminds us to always remember what's the most important impact a PM has to make and how to structure a Product team and the people that work with them in order to allow the Product team to perform for the organization.
